Get the disk image from the download page.
Drag to Applications
Open the disk image and drag Pastelo across.

Which Macs does it run on?
macOS 14 or later · Apple silicon and Intel. It’s one app that runs natively on both.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Your history lives on your Mac. Activating Pro needs an internet connection once; after that Pro keeps working offline and checks your license occasionally when you’re connected. If the check can’t reach the server, Pro stays active.
How do I activate Pro?
After checkout, your license key arrives in your receipt email. Open Pastelo, go to Settings › License, paste the key and choose Activate.
Can I use Pro on two Macs?
Yes, on up to 2 of your Macs at the same time. To move it, choose Deactivate on one Mac in Settings › License, then activate on the other. If you can’t reach an old Mac, contact support to free its seat.
What happens to what I copy?
It stays on your Mac, encrypted with a key kept in your Keychain, and is never uploaded. The app connects to the internet only to check your license, check for updates, or open a page you choose. There’s no analytics.
Items that password managers mark as concealed are skipped automatically, and you can exclude apps, pause monitoring, delete items or clear your history. Not every app marks sensitive items, so exclusion is best effort.
Does it keep images?
Yes. Text, links and images (PNG, JPEG and TIFF) are kept with previews, each up to 20 MB. Copied files are listed by name.
Will future versions cost extra?
Your purchase covers version 1 and all of its updates. A future major version may be a paid upgrade, and we’ll say so before you buy it. Version 1 keeps working if you don’t upgrade.
Why would it ask for Accessibility access?
Only if you turn on direct paste. macOS requires that permission for an app to press ⌘V for you in another app. Pastelo doesn’t read other apps’ content or record your keystrokes. Without it, choose an item and press ⌘V yourself.
What if I ask for a refund?
A refunded license stops unlocking Pro the next time the app checks it. Your existing history stays readable, and new copies go to the free 2-item history.
